Wii Night a Success, Porrings and Mints Procured

Buffet dinner, beers, Mario Kart, NBA Live, Smash Brothers, Porring swag and games from Level Up, free gamer mints from Alpha Mints, and a lot of screaming from Bomber Man (@&^#$%@#)!

That was it - a little experiment we did at Red Box Greenbelt 3, the official sponsor for Blog Bank publisher gatherings where instead of hooking up to the mic, we hooked up an RCA adaptor to the flatscreen to play Wii from 6 PM till midnight. Such are some of the crazy things we do with our publishers, and yeah gaming at what seems to be a karaoke place takes Red Box to a whole new level. It’s the living room we wish we had :)

Thanks to Mon Macutay and the rest of Level Up for joining us and giving away their games! Also many thanks to Anna Dimerin and Jared De Guzman of Alpha Mints for giving away those sexy sexy mints! Anna informed me that they will be running a contest for their mint brand and if you’re a blogger you’d know the value of offline link marketing. Imagine your URL printed on the next batch of mints sold everywhere!

Want to see your name on the next batch of Alpha Mints?

If you think you’re worth listening to, then email us your SHOUTOUTS at experiences at alphamints dot com. It may be anything – as long as it’s concise, witty, and of course, personal.

We are going to be printing the best 100 quotes on our next batch of packaging, along with two brand new variants which will be revealed in July. You may check out the website from time to time for developments.

Thanks Anna!

Also, a huge congratulations to the 8 publishers who received cheques this month. For those whose names were called but could not show, we will be contacting you and sending your cheques very soon.

The Blog Bank: Now accepting Blog donations!

The Blog Bank

Finally, after months and months of sweat, blood, and cartons of Yellow Cab, we’re finally open to the public! You see, it’s not that easy figuring out a localized advertising system that would be beneficial to both advertisers and bloggers. It’s one thing to tell bloggers that they are going to make tens of thousands of pesos with us - and another to drown advertisers with the most expensive rates in Internet history. So finding that sweet spot was really one of the keystones to the network’s success.
