BlogBank on Blogspot
April 19th, 2008 by markkuOne of the top support requests from our publishers is the issue of using our BlogBank ad code on Blogger–published or Blogspot–hosted sites. Since Day 1, our code does not work in the latest version of Blogger’s publisher tools. But thanks to some creative hacking of Maruel, one of our publishers, we can now use BlogBank on Blogspot!
Here’s a not too short rundown on how to use BlogBank on Blogger/Blogspot sites.
- Sign in to your BlogBank publisher account and use “Get Code” to get the ad code for your site. This time, you will see a link for alternate codes specifically for Blogger/Blogspot sites.
- Clicking on the link shows you three textboxes, just like the page before it, but with three shorter ad codes. These unique code snippets will be your special code for your site on Blogger/Blogspot.
- While signed in inside your Blogger/Google account, you will have the option to modify your layout. One of your choices will be “Add a Page Element:”
- You can now choose the type of page element you intend to add.
We need to use the HTML/JavaScript option to insert our BlogBank ad codes.
- Choose a descriptive title and paste your BlogBank ad code. You may paste your three unique ad codes in one HTML/JavaScript page element, or you may choose to create separate page elements for each of the three so you may have move them around in your web page layout.
- After pasting your code, you should see your new page elements in the layout editor. Save your changes and view your page to see if current ad campaigns are shown correctly. At this point, everything should be all set and you can get back to your writing.
Happy blogging!
