Tadah! How we do it.
March 17th, 2008 by Blog Bank GuyWhen a publisher signs up with the Blog Bank, our system calculates the total number of pageviews your site generates per month. We use javascript. In turn, the site is categorized into a “bank” composed of other blogs that will total 500,000 (or so…depending on how we cut it up but as of now its 500k) pageviews per month. An advertiser can choose to buy a certain number of banks per month, for a period of 30 days and publishers earn the amount equal to the percentage they contribute to the bank. The publishers and the network split the revenue 60-40 in favor of the publisher. To illustrate, let’s give a very very absurd example. Let’s say that for 500,000 pageviews, an advertiser will pay publishers 500,000 pesos, after the revenue split, for a one month (30 days) campaign. If you sign up with The Blog Bank and our system determines that you serve 250,000 pages per month, you are technically comprising 50% of the bank. This means that you will earn P250,000.00 per ad spot at the end of the month.A cheque will be delivered to you within 15 days after the month if you reach P2,000 or more.Thing is — and this one I emphazise a lot on – not everyone earns a lot from blogging. It may take some people months to reach P2,000.00, but does that mean that they aren’t important? I mean, they are blogging regularly – so they definitely do contribute something. That’s why we launched the Blog Bank Donor Card (to be issued soon) which entitles bona fide blog bank publishers to monthly perks.

i joined blogbank using my 2 blogs. I can’t find a page to monitor my sites’ performance. where is it?
about the payment, i think, it’s better if you can send the payment thru bank deposit instead of cheques. it’s safer. we all know how unreliable our postal system is. or do you plan to send the cheques via DHL?

@Jehz: We’re still working on it. Wait for the updates on this blog, it will be here in no time.
@Marhgil: We’re still working on our reporting tool for our publishers. But rest assured, your data is tracked accurately and kept safely.
We will be using our partner LBC for sending out checks. As for bank deposits, we’ll look into its viability as a payment option.

@Jeric: New registrations are still currently on hold/disabled. You’ll hear about it on this blog once it’s back up.
@tapsiboy: We don’t have problems with you running BlogBank ads alongside those from other ad networks.
